Boadicea Perfume’s Sutton Tennis Players are victorious in the Aegon National Team Tennis Championship!
Queen Boadicea, the ancient heroine who inspires our brand, was a great warrior but she was also an inspiring leader who held a responsibility to look after those in her tribe.
So you could argue it is entirely within that spirit that at Boadicea the Victorious we like to contribute to the communities around the centres from which our business operates.
For instance, we’re delighted to help out Sutton Tennis and Squash Club, located close to our UK distribution centre, with sponsorship to help the good work they do promoting health and sport among both young and old in the surrounding neighbourhood.
The sponsorship also helps support the Royal Marsden Hospital, their chosen charity, in pioneering work attempting to conquer cancer.
So we were thrilled to learn that their team recently won the Aegon National Open Men’s Championship following a dramatic finals weekend at the West Hants Club in Bournemouth.
The squad of Tom Farquharson, Jonny Gray, Ryan Storrie, Evan Hoyt, Jack Carpenter, Emile Hudd & Jamie Whiteford created a wonderful team spirit and the vibe coming off the players in their desire to win was incredible.
After going 3-2 down they saved five rubber points in a deciding doubles match before beating Roehampton in the semi-finals and then triumphed over a very strong Raynes Park team in the final.
Congratulations from all at Boadicea the Victorious to the team’s captain Steve Tiddy and the rest of his victorious players.
