Boadicea the Victorious launch new fragrance, Fortitude at this years' Chestertons Polo in the Park

The warmth of the sunshine, the pop of champagne corks, the hum of happy conversation. Polo in the Park is always one of our favourite events of the year.

But this Summer marks an even more unique occasion for Boadicea the Victorious as we celebrate Ladies Day in the inspiring surroundings of London’s beautiful Hurlingham Park by launching a landmark new fragrance.

Fortitude is a special new scent to celebrate 100 years of votes for women, a perfume which resonates with steely intent and lofty ambition as a tribute to the trailblazing Suffragettes who fought for female freedom.

In the traditions of the great ancient Queen Boadicea who inspires our brand, with her flaming hair and legendary courage, it pays homage to the determination of iconic women through the ages.

This is a perfume perfectly attuned to its times – a celebration of the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women here at home and across the globe, as brilliantly highlighted by International Women’s Day.

What better arena to unveil this stunning new aroma than at Polo in the Park on Saturday June 9^th, where this year’s Ladies Day is presented by Boadicea the Victorious?

The afternoon begins with the charm of an Oxford v Cambridge bicycle polo match, followed by three international contests. If you haven’t seen the power and majesty of polo ponies in competition before, it is a never-to-be-forgotten experience.

While the action is going on, we will have opportunities to sample Fortitude with its distinctive bottle, bearing the international symbol of the female (itself derived from the symbol of the Roman goddess Venus, and said to represent Aphrodite’s hand mirror).

And we are sure you will love a scent which honours the inexorable growth of women’s empowerment with its sheer feminine intensity, earthy ardour and glorious sense of ‘can do’ aspiration.
