Boadicea the Victorious Perfumes showcase at the prestigious 2018 PFA Awards
There was of course a red carpet, but some of the biggest names in world football also enjoyed an amazing Boadicea the Victorious experience on their way into the vast hall at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel for the 45th annual PFA awards.
As part of our unique sponsorship deal for the beautiful game’s most prestigious awards night, we decorated the reception areas with amazing floral displays showcasing our stunning range of scents with the opportunity for guests to sample some divine fragrances.
It was a perfect prelude to a dazzling evening, as Liverpool’s Egyptian genius Mo Salah was hailed by his fellow professionals as the PFA’s Player of the Year.
The record-breaking goal scorer received huge applause from the 900 guests in honour of his achievements when he was presented with the trophy by England manager Gareth Southgate, as Liverpool close in on a place in this season’s Champions League final.
But even that acclaim was nothing compared to the standing ovation when the late Cyrille Regis was announced as the winner of this year’s PFA Merit Award, in partnership with Boadicea the Victorious.
Our CEO David Crisp was on stage together with PFA Chief Executive Gordon Taylor and chairman Ben Purkiss to present the award to Cyrille’s widow Julia, his son Dave, daughter Michelle and granddaughter Jayda.
Mr. Crisp said: “It was an honour to share in such a prestigious evening, and we were proud to be associated with the award to Cyrille Regis who was such a standard-bearer in the fight against racial prejudice and discrimination.”
