Football Writers Association Tribute Evening

Every January the big names of English football’s Premier League gather at London’s magnificent Savoy Hotel when the Football Writers’ Association hold their gala tribute evening.

Boadicea the Victorious will be proud sponsors of this glittering event for the sixth year, and we are delighted to reveal that Wayne Rooney, England captain and club captain of Manchester United, will be the recipient of the prestigious award, which last year went to former Arsenal captain Patrick Vieira.

England’s record goal scorer, Rooney first found fame as a teenager and has enjoyed 15 seasons at the top winning five Premier League title medals as well as the Champions League and the FIFA Club World Cup. Together with his wife Coleen he has also been involved in many charity projects giving his time to support those less fortunate.
